Who are you being when you eat?  My eating journey began with a quest to lose weight and look good in a bathing suit. This diet mission turned into a desire to just be healthier. Now I aim to be fit and feel energized! I choose foods that give energy for my specific body. I continue to evolve with conscious eating.

How are you doing with keeping your body hydrated with water daily?  Before, I reached for a daily cup of coffee and a glass of alcohol. NOW, my drink of choice is water. This odorless, colorless and tasteless drink hydrates my body with exactly what it needs to keep me going throughout the day.

Active Living

How do you like to keep your body strong and energized?  Each morning, I start my day with some body movement.  It might be some strength exercises with weights, stretching or doing some aerobic exercise.  Some of my favourite cardio activities are jogging, swimming and biking in the summer. When the temperatures are cooler, you will find me bouncing on a fitness trampoline; cycling indoors or going for winter walks.

What activities do you like to do to keep your mind active?  I like to learn, create, and try new things. I am a seeker of truth as I read and journal each day. In my community, I volunteer at my church and at a local elementary school.

When do you become still? Active Living is also actively taking time to rest our body, soul and spirit to reflect and recharge. I feel more peace with my life when I take a day to relax with family and loved ones.

The old me was overweight, tired and had a poor attitude. The new me has come into being – healthy and energized with a positive outlook. There is hope for future generations.
